CAT Finning RG1600 – Field Trial
Codelco saw a massive reduction of fuel contaminated related breakdowns. A 12-month laboratory test found that 1,000 percent more contamination reached fuel injectors prior to using FuelActive. Fuel-related breakdowns were eradicated following the installation of FuelActive significantly reducing the cost call-outs to the machines, replacement of fuel filters and lowering the amount of fuel consumption.
Komatsu Cummins - 930E - Chile
Komatsu Cummins no longer faces fuel-contamination issues. It has reduced maintenance costs, increased operating time and efficiency, and ended fuel-related breakdowns. FuelActive continues to work closely with Komatsu Cummins to protect its fuel filters, pumps and injectors in heavy-mining applications.
Mandiri JCB
The filter life of Mandiri JCB's machines fitted with FuelActive increased from 250 hours to 750 hours. This significantly increased the operating time of the excavators. Owing to the extended life of the filter, replacement of these fuel filters was cut by 66 per cent. Due to the reduction in service callouts, increased uptime and replacement parts, the overall cost of ownership on the excavators was reduced.
McMahon Group
McMahon’s service records documented 27 Low Power Incidents (LPI’s) on the ‘new’ standard units and 9 on the FuelActive units – a 66% reduction. With a saving of 3.4% on fuel consumption from FuelActive equating to 1.25 L/h or 18 L/d (based on a typical 15 h/d ADT operation), the FuelActive ROI was 251% in year one.
